The state administration came under fire from the BJP for failing to safeguard doctors who protested and for not intervening to stop the violence Also, the party has even demanded that the army be sent in in case the Trinamool Congress (TMC) administration, which is now in power. The public indignation and continuing demonstrations in response to the doctor&#8217;s supposed rape and murder in Kolkata have stepped up the political conflicts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"critical-points-to-know\">Critical points to know<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Dr. Subarna Goswami, an alumna of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, these injuries suggest repeated assaults. She told PTI, &#8220;The post-mortem report is evidence of the extreme cruelty she endured, involving multiple individuals, and indicates that she was sexually assaulted more than once. This is the worst form of brutality.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The report also confirmed that the RG Kar trainee doctor was first sexually assaulted, then strangled, and ultimately killed by asphyxiation. The body of the postgraduate trainee was found on the morning of August 9th inside a seminar hall at the hospital. A civilian volunteer was arrested in connection with the crime on Saturday. Following an order from the Calcutta High Court, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) began investigating the case on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The party has even demanded that the army be sent in in case the Trinamool Congress (TMC) administration, which is now in power, is unable to control the situation.
